Managing Director and Founder

Alan MacNae is the founder and co-director of Stone Interiors, which he established in 2003. Alan has built up an industry-leading reputation for quality stone work, with his vast knowledge and expertise of working with stone being renowned within the KBB (kitchens, bathrooms and bedroom) sector. Alan entered the industry as a labourer with a construction firm working on the Financial Times building. Learning the trade “from the bottom up”, working with several companies specialising in exterior stonework, he joined a firm specialising in domestic interior stonework and realised that this was the area he wanted to focus on. Seeing the growth potential for finest-quality stone interiors, he decided to branch out by himself and has “never looked back”. With a firm commitment to the highest standards of quality and customer service, Alan has cultivated solid connections with the best architects, builders, retailers and showrooms in and around London.

Gill Appleton

Gill has worked for Stone Interiors for four years as Finance Manager. She manages the company finances, payroll and HR. Gill works closely with the Contracts Department and assists with project costing on larger projects.

Margaret Watson

Margaret is originally from New Zealand, where she worked as a production estimator, and has been with Stone Interiors since 2010. As Contracts Manager she is in charge of the firm’s larger projects, dealing with designers, architects, project managers and site managers on a day-to-day basis. She is assisted by two Site Managers, David Thomas (AKA ‘Nash’) and Mark Letch, and together they ensure “all cogs are turning, and at the right speed”.

“We continue to enjoy strong relationships with the best designers and architects in London because we have a shared goal: to consistently deliver the finest quality of workmanship to our clients, be it for a residential or commercial project.”

 

Massimiliano Fasoli

Massimiliano is one of Stone Interiors most recent recruits. As an Estimator, he produces quotations for clients and handles client and customer enquiries.

Mark Letch

Mark has been in the trade for over 30 years, starting out as an apprentice in 1981. He “cut his teeth” working on major commercial projects but migrated towards the domestic market, before moving into management. As a site manager, Mark oversees all the day-to-day work on site, and is the frontline between clients and Stone Interiors.

David Thomas

David comes from a project management background and has worked on some of the most exclusive residential properties in London. With a keen eye for detail, David supervises projects on-site and ensures quality control.

Artur Srutowski

Artur is originally from Poland and worked for his father’s stonemasonry business before relocating to the UK in 2003. As Installation Manager, Artur looks after the installation process for kitchens and worktops, managing teams on-site and liaising with clients.
